Ways to Reuse

These are a few ideas on how to implement the prospect of reusing in your daily life. If you have any other ideas, please feel free to comment or email me them and I will add them to this post!  Remember, be prepared, be aware, be an awareness spreader.

• Use cloth napkins and towels instead of paper ones.
• Bring your own reusable bags, water bottles, and containers when shopping or eating out.
• Use a refillable pen instead of disposable pens.
• Use rechargeable batteries instead of disposable ones. (Can be found on Amazon)
• Use a reusable lunch box instead of disposable bags or containers.
• Instead of throwing away glass jars, you can wash them and use them to store food or other household items.
• Old t-shirts can be turned into rags for cleaning.
• Cardboard boxes can be used for storage.
• Old toothbrushes can be used for cleaning hard-to-reach areas, such as grout or around faucets.
• Egg cartons can be used to start seedlings for your garden.
• Wine corks can be turned into a corkboard or used as a base for a potted plant.
• Old newspapers can be used as wrapping paper or to line a pet’s cage.
• Plastic bags can be reused as trash bags, as grocery bags or to pick up after your pet.
• Coffee grounds can be added to your compost pile or used as a natural fertilizer for your plants.
• Old towels can be cut into smaller pieces and used as cleaning rags.

A lot of items can be used as art projects for example:

• You can turn an old ladder into a bookshelf or towel rack.
• use old CDs or DVDs as coasters or you could paint them and make them into wall art.
• you can use old shower curtains as drop cloths for painting or any other messy project you may have in mind.
• Turn an old colander into a planter for herbs or flowers.
• Use old wine bottles as candle holders or vases.
• Turn an old muffin tin into a drawer organizer for small items like jewelry or office supplies.
• You can turn cardboard rolls into little paper dolls.
